Futurist - Monsters (Mandarin Oranges)
This is a little video that we shot with the guys at Dawn of Man. We filmed it in my Brooklyn basement, which I had turned into the surface of a strange, soft planet where flowers and snow coexist simultaneously...and there are eyeballs.

What is a Non-Musician?
"I am not musical." I am often told this and I would guess that there are many others who would believe it too. How could we not? We are categorized from the start and the common separation of the artist (or creative) from bankers, nurses, firemen, and other assorted professionals is problematic. I feel that creative expression is a universal human characteristic with a wondrous, evolutionary purpose, and not a specified 'profession.' I do realize that people make a living by performing and creating, but I just wanted to address this misconception;
that there are those who make music, and those who do not.
Perhaps it is how we are educated. With the radical changes in musical composition, technology, and performance that have occurred over the past 50 years, it seems strange that there has been little development in the early education of such techniques. When the word improvisation is uttered in most music classes, it is usually related to jazz and the melodic freedom found on top of a series of common chord changes. How can the ideas of John Cage to Bjรถrk be applied to improvisation in schools and ensembles and general approach to musical interaction?...beep. beep. beep.
The future is NOW! wait! I am musing.
Hmmm...speaking of nonsense.

Monobot
I'm not sure why, but lately I've been drawing lots of robotic characters.Death really is strange, and having it on my mind for the past few weeks seems to continually remind me of how beautiful and fleeting this all is. I feel a lot of gratitude for the people in my life.
